| In 1990 on Long Island, New York the beginning of a career was launched. Many ceremonies and weddings were planned, while Kim worked for one of the largest caterers in Jericho, New York. Miss Kim Colleen ventured out to work for another event planner in Glen Cove, New York and gained more experience hosting luxury events in many private homes, local museums and venues in the Hamptons, Manhasset and all across the North Shore. After moving to Roanoke, Virginia in 2004 and taking a position as a Marketing/Catering Director she had the opportunity to learn about the Virginia market. Simply Elegant Events and Design was started that same year. Now serving Smith Mountain Lake, Roanoke, Richmond, Williamsburg, Lynchburg and all surrounding areas.
